Krabi is kind of a heaven , located in the southern part of Thailand , east of Andaman Sea.
When To Go :
It will be better to visit Krabi on November , December , January and February as other parts of Thailand.
How To Go :
There is Krabi International Airport(KBV) in Krabi , located 25 km from Krabi center and 30 km from Ao Nang. I used train from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Station to Suratthani Train Station , 9 hours night ride and costed around 300 Baht. There is an ageny close to Suratthani Train Station , Phantip Office , there you can get a minibus to Ao Nang which costs around 500 Baht and takes around 3 hours.
Where To Stay :
Center of Krabi is quiet far from place where you must go , that’s why there is nothing to the with the center. Ao Nang seems the best location to stay , while there are many options like hotels , party hostels etc. , some of them is reasonable enough , Railay seems much smaler and more expensive.
Places To See In Krabi :
Places to see in Krabi are mostly beaches and islands.
1-) Ao Nang :
Our first stop , Ao Nang Beach is really great and location is very central.
2-) Railay Beach :
There is no land connection to Railay , you can reach at Railay by long-tail boats from Ao Nang. 2 way must cost around 150-200 Baht. Railay Beach is something like cotton , it is undoubtedly best beach ever. On the other hand climbing is a popular acitivity in Railay , you can also reach at Tonsai Beach after some climbing and walking.
3-) Phra Nang Beach :
Another one of the best beaches in the area is Phra Nang Beach or Phra Nang Cave Beach. You will need to have a 20 mins walk from Railay Beach to arrive. While this beach is located in front of a cave , mostly it is under shadow and water will be cool. Princess Cave , where there is an interesting tradition , also located in Phra Nang Beach. On the other hand you can visit the lagoon after some climbing on the way to Phra Nang from Railay. You can also watch the monkeys around.
4-) Ko Phi Phi Don :
The biggest of Phi Phi Islands and the only one possible to stay is another heaven , Phi Phi Don Island or Ko Phi Phi Don. You can go to Phi Phi Don with a transfer to Krabi Ferry Station and then ferry to Phi Phi Don , totally for 500 Baht. You can climb up to viewpoints in this island and enjoy a wonderful view. You can visit other islands and beach by long-tail boats , such as Maya Beach , the most important one. I prefered kayaking. It was a cheaper and better way to visit Monkey Beach. Also there is a great place to watch Muay Thai in the island.
Note : If you would like to stay longer in Krabi , there are some other places to see ; Tiger Cave Temple which is 30 mins from Ao Nang , Bamboo and Pado Islands in Andaman Sea , Long Beach and Lanta Old Town in Lanta Island.

1-) Kodam Kitchen :
Best restaurant in Ao Nang , you can find many kind of local dishes.
2-) Cafe Le Inguz :
This cafe is a really good place for local and worldwide coffees and also a nice meeting point , located in Railay.
3-) Garlic 1992 Restaurant :
This restaurant is located in Ko Phi Phi Don , one of the best restaurant not only in this area but in whole Thailand. Seafoods are great , especially Sword Fish Fillet Steak which is 260 Baht a must try.
